The First 36 SE (Seascape Edition) was conceived to deliver a racer-oriented performance.

Samuel Manuard, in collaboration with Bernard Nivelt, transformed the First 36 into a pure racing yacht, while Cossutti’s input optimized her rating for ORC rules.

The hull, deck, bulkheads, and interior components are built using vacuum-infused sandwich construction, delivering unmatched lightness and structural rigidity. This results in a hull that is 400 kg lighter than the standard First 36, along with a bow design further optimized for IRC.

In the SE version, traditional woodwork is completely eliminated in favor of composite and carbon fiber finishes, such as the companionway and storage compartments. She features a wetted surface area reduced by 3 m², a tiller configuration for maximum helm feedback, and stripped-back interiors equipped with a carbon fiber companionway and removable canvas lockers.

While the accommodation layout below deck remains essentially identical across both versions, traditional joinery makes way for modular, removable fabric lockers.

Designed for experienced sailors, this is a purebred racer where downwind speed and helm responsiveness merge to deliver pure adrenaline.
