The First 36 SE ( Seascape Edition ) is destined to be a success story. Designed by Samuel Manuard and Lorenzo Argento in collaboration with Maurizio Cossutti, it features a hull optimized for ORC class racing—a pure thoroughbred racer and a unique vessel on the market where downwind speed and helm responsiveness merge to deliver pure adrenaline.
The hull, deck, bulkheads, and internal components are built using vacuum-infused sandwich construction, granting unmatched lightness and structural rigidity—resulting in a hull that is 400 kg lighter than the standard First 36. To achieve this in the SE version, traditional wood has been completely replaced with composite and carbon fiber finishes (such as the companionway and storage compartments). It boasts a wetted surface area reduced by 3 m², tiller steering for maximum helm sensitivity, and streamlined interiors featuring a carbon fiber companionway and removable canvas storage modules.
The three-cabin layout remains essentially identical across both versions, but traditional cabinetry gives way to lightweight, removable canvas lockers.
A boat crafted for experienced sailors and fully optimized for pure racing!
